October 27, 2007 While Melody is in Chicago visiting her friend, Michelle, I started painting the basement. The office/bedroom is done and I've started on the main family room area. Click the links below for some photos.

CL October 15, 2007 The contractor I hired to mud, tape, and texture the basement should be done this week which means we'll be painting soon. Then all that's left is trim and carpet. Yippee!! I've been really bad about taking pictures of the work in progress, so you'll probably have to just wait until it's all finished to see the final product. Can't wait to be done with this...CL August 29, 2007 Time flies. Still working on the drywall in the basement, but being busy every weekend is certainly not helping with the schedule. But after I finish the Wildcat Mountain Rally this Labor Day weekend, my motorcycling obligations will be over for the year and I'll have a little more time. CL August 2, 2007 Been very busy here, but not much seems to be getting done. Started drywalling in the basement, which means that at my current rate of progress I should be done sometime in the year 2025. Getting some trips in on the motorcycle. Melody rode her motorcycle out in the real world for the first time this summer and was tearing up the U.P. on our annual Fourth of July trip. Jessica and her kids will be coming to visit sometime later this summer, and my Mom & Mike are coming near the end of September. Maybe we'll have a downstairs room for them, but I wouldn't be counting on it, Mom. CL |
